Retail Clearance Project – High Street Fashion Store Clearance, Reading
The Project
Clearsolve was contacted by a retail property management company in Reading that required a full clearance of a vacant high street fashion store following the end of a commercial lease agreement.
The project involved:
- A 6,000 sq ft retail unit
- Large volumes of unwanted shop fittings and fixtures
- Tight deadlines before refurbishment contractors started
- Clearance works within a busy town centre location
- Out-of-hours access restrictions
The client needed a professional retail clearance company that could complete the works quickly, safely and with minimal disruption to neighbouring businesses and shoppers.
The Challenge
The retail unit had been vacated with a substantial amount of waste and unwanted items remaining on site, including:
- Shelving and display units
- Shop counters and tills
- Clothing rails and mannequins
- Packaging waste and stockroom contents
- Electrical items and lighting
- Flooring materials and damaged fittings
- General bulky waste
Access to the site was restricted due to pedestrian traffic and loading limitations within the town centre, meaning careful planning and scheduling were essential.
The client required the property cleared within three days to allow refurbishment works to begin immediately afterwards.
